Encoding the video into Flash
Once you have created the video with the recorder you need to open 'Camtasia Studio'. You are going to use Studio to convert your .avi file into a flash movie so it will play from your web site.
Step One

You have to import your video into the 'clip bin' so make sure you know where your video file is located. On the left side of studio you will see this area. Click on 'Import media, and find your video file.
It will appear in the Clip Bin like this:

Step Two
Now DRAG the video down to the time line at the bottom of 'Studio', you cannot do anything until the video is on the time line. It should look ike this:

Before you go to the next step make sure that the graph for audio looks like this example. If it is a solid line or no line you did not record your audio.
Step 3

Select custom production and then flash, make sure that you are using the MP4 output. click the NEXT button
Step 4
On this screen select Express Show. The dimensions for the video should be 640 x 480. Click on the Flash Options button. You will be taken to this screen

Make sure that the MP4 (recommend) compression is selected. Then click Okay and Next the NEXT again until your reach this screen
Step 6

This is IMPORTANT the Production Name is to be flash. The folder where the flash files are going to be placed in your Website folder. This will be on your jumpdrive, and Organize files into a sub-folder must be checked.
If you have this correct click FINISH. Sit back the encoding process willl start, when it's finished you will have a folder inside your website folder called 'flash'. You will embed the contents in this folder into your Flash webpage.
