Introduction

Camtasia Studio consists of several components:

Recorder is used to capture the screen activities and it enables the user to add an audio track to explain what is happening on the screen.

Producer is the tool that turns the .avi file created during the capture stage into a streaming media file. You have the option to creating another .avi file, flash movie, windows meida .wmv file, realplayer or quicktime files.

The producer lets you control the size of the video - (ususally 640 x 480 or 320 x 240). You can also edit the video, alter the sound track, and add callouts (boxes that help to point out important actions).

You will be working withCamtasia Studio 6.
