Setting up the sound card

For Camtasia Recorder to work properly you must set up your sound card to accept input from a microphone.

You do this by clicking on the 'speaker' on your task bar, or go to the start menu and select 'Accessories > Entertainment > Sound.

When the 'Master Volume' control opens click on Options > Properties and select 'Recording', Open the recording control. Make sure that microphone is selected.

When the control box appears, ensure that microphone is 'checked' and the volume is set to the top.

Close the box, plug your mic into 'mic in' on your sound card and you are ready to go.
