Citrix

Citrix is an application server that enables users to access 'application software' from anywhere that you have internet access. This is beneficial to students as you do not have to purchase expensive application packages.

You log onto Citrix from the learn server. You need to install the Citrix Client on your computer BEFORE you can use this application. Get it Here.

Only students registered in a specific class will be given access to the Citrix system. You log on using your Seneca user name and password, the same information you use for your email. Click here to log on.

You will have access to Dreamweaver 8 and Fireworks 8 . While Dreamweaver MX is available DO NOT USE IT.

Citrix will work with a dial up connection and a high speed connection internet connection, but high speed works best.

When you first log onto Citrix and try to access your hard drive or jump drive this box will appear .

Make sure that you select 'FULL ACCSS' and 'NEVER ASK ME AGAIN'.

You will only need to do this once when you access Citrix from home, but at Seneca it will be a requirement each time that you come into the lab and log onto Ctirx, as the 'cookie' that is place on the computer is erased when you log-off.

You need to ensure that your website is set up on Drive S on Citrix. Some of you may have a website folder on Drive P. This has to be deleted and you will create a new website folder on Drive S. I have prepared a video that will demonstrate the method to delete a site devinition on Citrix (if you create one) and how to setup your web folder on Drive S, etc.
