FTP Files to the server
Sometimes you will not be able to upload your files with Dreamweaver. These are usually the large flash and wmv files. To resolve this problem you will use an FTP application called WS_FTP. This application is on all Seneca computers. You will find this under the Network Services link on the start menu, select WS_FTP.

When you open the application it will default to the Learn server, all you need to do is enter you seneca ùser name`and password and click okay.
You will be brought to a screen that has the computer drives listed on the LEFT side and a public_html folder on the right side.
The LEFT side is your computer ... your jump drive will be Drive F, so select this and find your website folder, and then open the website folder.
The RIGHT side is the LEARN SERVER, open the public_html file and you will see all of your website folders and files.
The problem usually occurs with the windows WMV file. To correct this problem do the following:
On the RIGHT side - open the windows media folder and then the sub-folder. The sub-folder will have a file with the .wmv extension. This is the file that you need to replace.
On the LEFT side - open the windows media folder and then the sub-folder. Click (highlight) the wmv file and select the arrow that points to the right. You will receive a message `do you want to overwrite the file`click yes.
Look down at the bottom left corner to make sure that you do not receive the following message `DISK SPACE EXCEEDED`. If you get this speak with the professor.
You can download WS_FTP from the download page.
