Tutorial 1

In this tutorial you will embed a flash player script into your podcast webpage, change coding in the script, create an mp3 file (audio file of your example podcast), and have this play inside your webpage. You will create a new webpage using your template design. The webpage will be named podcast.html. The html extension will be added by Dreamweaver

This example podcast will be done in the lab. Your final versions should be completed outside of this lab to avoid any unacceptable background noise.

Your podcast will be created using Audacity ( a free) audio program and the lame compression tool to create the conversion to an mp3 file. These programs are installed in the computer labs and micro-centre. You will need to install these two programs on your home computer or laptop. DO NOT PUT THESE PROGRAMS INTO YOUR WEBSITE FOLDER.

To get started download this zip file and put it into your website folder. When you extract the file it will create a folder in your website name audio.
